As the Architect-and Engineer-of- Record for Corner Bakery Café, Core States has adapted the new prototype design to locations across North America. The program has included tenant fit-outs for new ground-up construction for the interior build-out of the kitchen and dining areas.
We're not phased by stringent codes that require diligent coordination to meet our clients' needs. Our team recently finished a new build Corner Bakery Cafe located in Philadelphia on the first floor of a high rise, making the kitchen’s exhaust and ventilation a major challenge, efficiently solved by our mechanical team. The team also solved unique ADA requirements for the two-and-a-half story space complete with an outdoor seating area. Having completed thousands of restaurant projects, we’re accustomed to solving problems that arise from working in unique spaces and were able to turn around test fits to the owner within a day to keep up with the schedule. Detailed coordination with the landlord simplified connection to exterior ducting for supply, grease, and exhaust ducts. Additional restrooms were worked in to meet the stringent plumbing code. The end result, a custom solution maintained our client's strict design standards.
