For TD Bank’s efforts to meet sustainability goals, they turn to Core States for LEED and energy expertise. This particular retail branch was being relocated from another site, therefore an aggressive schedule was required to satisfy a specific move in date that was not flexible. Under the strict time constraints, Core States’ robust team of experts designed a very sleek on brand banking space, fit with a grand two—story atrium, achieving high efficiency through recessed lighting and custom TD green pendant fixtures.
The lighting system has a fully programmable lighting control panel, fit with daylight harvesting for bright days. Core States designed the mechanical systems to fully integrate into the City of Hartford District Cooling and Heating plant using the nearby river to cool the chillers. The systems were controlled by a fully programable building management system. Core States delivered a bank to TD that leaves the smallest environmental footprint possible. This project became LEED Gold Certified and won BOMA (Building Owners and Management Association) “Best Tenant Fit Out, Award, 2014, CT Region”.
