Our MEP team is often invited to team with architecture firms. Our previous work with Nielsen Architecture on a number of food service and retail projects led them to call upon us to complete the building systems and lighting design for the 8W Building in Bentonville, AR. The first level of this $20M, 80,000 SF mixed-use building contains an open food court which features a Jimmy John’s, Tropical Smoothie and tap room to serve the surrounding corporate offices, including Walmart's corporate headquarters directly across the street. A three-level parking garage rests above the first floor and the fifth and sixth floors contain class A office space.
Core States' electrical engineers designed LED lighting throughout the shell building and tenant spaces. Our mechanical engineers designed the central plant featuring a two-pipe condenser water loop with a roof mounted, 300-ton cooling tower, pumps, and high efficiency boilers. It's the kind of work engineers dream about.
Teamwork makes the dream work applies to high performing teams that really click. A high functioning team can achieve incredible results but, more than that, a great team is a pleasure to work with, which is what happens when we partner with firms like Neilsen Architecture who share our values and client commitment. Who wouldn’t want to work in a team like that?!
