CCR Magazine's Project of the Year 2020: Core States' Biola University Roof Top Solar Array
Core States designed and installed a custom racking system so the array would act in harmony with the aesthetic of the building envelope. We used a bifacial module system so students can view it as they enter the building, as well as through a lobby skylight. To teach students its environmental benefits, a display kiosk was installed in the lobby of the new building which provides an overview of the solar system and how it’s reducing Biola’s carbon foot print and saving the University on costs. To date the project has saved approximately 50.3 tons of C02, the equivalent of removing greenhouse gas emissions from 124,920 miles driven on the road.
