Ruben Alonso

Director of Architecture - Restaurants

Ruben’s involvement in restaurants started at a very young age. Growing up in a restaurant family, he quickly became passionate about the industry. His dedication to designing places where people come together and share a meal has contributed to his 13-year architectural career in the restaurant industry. Ruben has a comprehensive understanding of restaurant operations, customer experience, and company branding. He successfully managed our national McDonald’s team of architects and designers which became our fastest growing quick serve program. Today as a director, Ruben cultivates the skills of others by encouraging communication and transparency. By building mutual trust between the teams, he helps to drive performance and the client’s vision.

• Favorite vacation: Relaxing on the beach in Cancun, Mexico
• Favorite foods: Ribs, wings, pizza and steak accompanied by a craft beer
• Favorite thing to do: Spending time with my family, watching sports, and relaxing in the backyard next to a nice fire pit
