“We partner with amazing brands, and we are empowering them to improve people's lives through the built environment. I bet you can’t go a day or two without seeing some of our work.”

D. David Dugan

President and Chief Executive Officer

Dave Dugan is dedicated to helping people lead better lives through the built environment, and he is proud that Core States Group is driving the industry toward the future of living, working, learning, and well-being.

Dave joined Core States Group in 2013 and has since had a hand in nearly every aspect of the business. He originally launched the company’s signage division before running its construction company, IT, and professional services departments. Working closely with company founder John Scheffey, Dave has played a key role in catalyzing the company’s extraordinary growth from less than 150 employees to over 500. Today, Core States Group collaborates with some of the world’s most trusted and innovative brands, offering a full range of services through its uniquely integrated, in-house service model.

As President and CEO, Dave believes that collaboration starts from the inside out. He is committed to cultivating a company culture of teamwork, compassion, and service. He welcomes all new CoreStaters with a call and is focused on ensuring that everyone has an opportunity to succeed – professionally and personally. He regularly travels to the company’s 21 offices across the United States and Canada to meet face-to-face with the company’s growing team.

Dave is a self-made entrepreneur and business leader. Prior to joining Core States Group, he founded and ran an IT consulting and software development company for over a decade. He has excellent analysis, innovation, and problem-solving skills, and is known for building effective teams, developing solid business solutions, and driving growth and profitability.

Outside of his work at Core States Group, Dave treasures family time with his wife and two teenage sons, especially at their cabin in the Pocono Mountains. In addition to enjoying the outdoors, he enjoys playing video games “with his kids” and rooting for the Philadelphia Eagles.
